''Walking Wounded'' is a 1996 album by Everything but the Girl, their ninth studio release. It is their highest charting album to date, reaching number 4 in the UK and number 37 in the US. This was the first album in which the group adopted a more electronic and dance style after the success of the remixed version of "Missing" from their previous album, ''Amplified Heart''. The album's cover art (see photo) is unusual in that it features an album's barcode on both the front and back of the album. Several tracks from the album were released as singles, including 'the cinematic drum 'n' bass-pop crossover' "Walking Wounded" (number 6 on the Top 40), the 'thumping house' "Wrong" (number 8 on the Top 40), and the downtempo "Single" that set Thorn's emotionally direct vocal against breakbeats, organ and strings.〔 Press release for 'Single' , September 1996 〕 The album was reissued by Edsel Records as a 2-disc deluxe set in 2015. ==Track listing== All music composed by Ben Watt, lyrics by Tracey Thorn; except where indicated # "Before Today" (Ben Watt) – 4:18 # "Wrong" – 4:36 # "Single" – 4:38 # "The Heart Remains a Child" (Tracey Thorn) – 3:50 # "Walking Wounded" (Ben Watt-lyrics & vocal melody; Ashley Wales, John Coxon-music) – 6:05 # "Flipside" (Ben Watt) – 4:33 # "Big Deal" – 4:29 # "Mirrorball" – 3:27 # "Good Cop Bad Cop" – 4:54 # "Wrong" Todd Terry Remix – 4:45 # "Walking Wounded" Omni Trio mix – 6:43 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Walking Wounded」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
